BBC - 2/6/09

I'm going to put more time information on my posts. Bullets in order and I'll put a timestamp on the sections.

8:00 am
  • Stretching: Easily 10 minutes.
  • Sit-Ups: 30
  • Push-ups: 30 elbow-width palms. Heather tells me my back was bowing, though.
5:15 pm
  • Forms/sparring, aerobics and spar drills all covered in today's class.
  • Drank way in excess of 32 oz today. I did better than yesterday at tanking up on water before class and didn't do too bad after class.
12:48 am

Time to go get my meditation time in!

Second Stripe and Blackbelt Challenge

There were only two people in class today and, shock of shocks, I was the senior student. Oddities not withstanding, I got my second stripe!

I got the form for the blackbelt challenge. It officially starts on the 9th, but I'm going to try for it starting tonight.

  • 100/50/25 pushups
  • 100/50/25 situps or crunches
  • Form & Sparring combo x2
  • Meditation/Prayer (5-10 minutes)
  • Stretch (5-10 minutes)
  • Good deed
  • Drink at least 32 oz water
  • 15 min. aerobics
  • Spar drills
The ones I didn't list (and why):
  • 15 minutes aerobics or walk/run. The physically demanding tasks above should take at least 15 minutes to perform.
  • 10 minutes reading or writing. Other than my reading hobby, I'm in college so I end up reading a lot more than that every day whether I want to or not! :P
  • 1 "fun" hour with a loved one. Once a week. I showed that to my wife and she had a good laugh. If I'm not doing at least one hour of family time a day, life gets very difficult for me (my son is very vocal when he doesn't get as much attention as he deserves)
  • Hug / "I love you". I'm sure there are people out there that need a goal to do this once a day but I really hope I'm not one of them.
  • Maybe I'll add in the fun hour description, as well as the hug / I love you, as a way to boast about my wonderful family. Don't say I didn't warn ya!
